If other sources are also calling for water, the pump will not have enough available to operate correctly and potentially cause 'run dry damage' to the pump if a flow protector (CP.PU.7036) is not installed.
To alleviate potential down time due to the lack of available water to operate the pump, a header tank feeding the pump will resolve this issue.
